All new design for 2008, the Epic 8400 junior size leg pad features a narrow side profile design constructed to be lighter in weight with less mass for quicker leg movements
The pad face features softer front foam to reduce rebounds and give greater puck control
Knee cradles feature adjustable knee lifters that allow precise adjustment of knee height off the ice when going down on the inside pad edge. This keeps the knee supported above the ice and provides superior ergonomic leg position to allow for maximum leg extension while reducing stress on the knees and hops
Inside pad edge design gives a flat inner edge and side knee platform for improved body balance and the narrower side panel profile reduces pad drag to allow for quicker pad slide along the inner edge and properly positions the pad on the ice
Knee hugger curved shape in the top section of the pad keeps the pad from drifting away from the knee and closes the top thigh portion of the pads when down on the ice reducing the five-hole.
Large outside rolls prevent puck skip-over and provides a defined out pad edge that increases net vocerage and stabilizes the pad height to limit height compression

The new Epic 8400 Junior Blocker features a large flat profile side thumb plate the provides extra protection and added blocking surface area of the inner edge profile of the glove
The blocking surface features a larger top board flare for added puck deflection on high shots to reduced puck skip over
Beveled edges on the back side of the blocking reduce weight along the perimeter of the board and improve the balance and feel of the blocker
The bottom of the board is tapered to allow easy transition to the ice during paddle down moves
Cushion padding over the back of the hand reduces puck stings from high impact shots
Wide articulating cuff opening increases wrist mobility
